I am so bad

Postby Otori » Mon Nov 04, 2002 7:40 am

I have been listening for oh so long to Gridstream and have enjoyed the growth and success that has insued. I used to even send Tarryk some songs that I thought were appropriate for partys here and there (and the bastard even played them). But being the slacker I am, I have just lurked these boards and never posted...*sigh*, but now I am, because this community has inspired my resurrgance to AO. Short story:

I hadnt played AO for about 2 weeks and was seriously considering cancelling all together. 2 weeks before that 2 weeks, I deleted my main (Cophichius - 104 Engineer), and my alt (Spiralnature - 78 Soldier) thinking a fresh start might rekindle my interest. So I started playing around with some different professions...and it didnt really work, leveling sorta took on that "treadmill" feeling and role-players seemed to be more and more a fading breed. Needless to say I still watched the official AO site and always tuned into to Talk Deviant.

Well, after listening to tonight's (11-3) Talk Deviant and TNT ....then lurking around these formus and looking at the pics you guys have posted......DAMMIT BABY I'm back!! I forgot how much I loved the real peeps that play on this game! I was never too involved directly in events, I'm kinda dedicated Omni, so quite a few GSP events were in Clan territory. But I followed the shows and went to the partys when I could.

My point is this: With some people crying DOOOOMMM (spooon) to AO and other MMORPG, sit back and TALK to the friends that you are playing with.....they have good and bad days (although Tarryk's recent streak of bad luck is exceptional...lol), because they will probably help keep ya goin. I've played ALOT (too many) MMORPG and MMOG's and GSP (and the friends involved) is the tightest, friendly, sexy, cool, group of online (or for that matter off-line) group of people I have ever been lucky enough to have any part of. There are too many of you guys involved to indivdually name, but Tarryk and Metallynx bring me a much needed break from the doldrums of everyday life every Sunday (or Wednesday), and now Threx and Tristalyn continue to make my tummy hurt with laughter. And the posts on the official AO site which I lurk often....MISSMAUL, you are one smart girl....keep it up.

Just wanted to let GSP and anybody who reads these forums know what a great bunch you are and to keep it up, because you saved my AO life and made my REAL LIFE more enjoyable than it woulda been. I love the whole bunch of ya! One last thing...I actually asked my local liquor store where the Leet Piss was....I have to find a new local liquor store now.

Anyway, welcome and stuff. :)

Edit: Wewt. 100th post.
Three people. One main, two alts.

I don't know whether to apologize or say thank you :)

I'm just happy that you found a reason to come back and play this kick ass game!! AO just wouldn't be the same without the two drunken bastards (Tarryk and Lynx) bringing TD to us each and every Sunday..

and well Threx and I? That was a freak accident and I think we're both still in shock ppl acctually listen to us talk about absolutaly nothing :D

Welcome back and if you need anything, look me up!

Glad to see you're sticking around! That's so nifty, and I can relate sooo much.
I would have never left AO last year if I had known about GSP and the sweet RP community we have here.. both now being HUGE influences in my continued citizenship on Rubi-Ka.

Rock on.. and stuff. ;)

I'd say that if you're sick of "the game", then make a clubbin character ;) and move him over to Reets and enjoy the Gridstream experience :)

Well, that part kinda gave me the impression...

But I know you came BACK after, so it still applies :) Make a clubbin char & party down (easier than using regular char & rebuffing back into armor)
