Tidbits of interest!

They are tweaking code and have made adjustments to how things function...which allows for a lot more additions in the future.

-Improvements and added features to the AEGIS system to flesh it out a bit more. There was a tremendous amount of feedback with this, so... this should be a huge quality of life addition.
-Notification system which the same style as the lore notification system. This means they can trigger events from the notification or allow characters in the world to send messages to the player to add info or exposition. Kinda goes in line with the "get a faction call" and you miss it because you are in a cutscene or in combat. This system will solve that as well. The first iteration of this will be launched with the next sidestories pack.
-They've nailed down the functionality for making emotes, hairstyles, and makeup for individual unlocks. This means that they can add more to the game with ease....add them to the store or make them available through a mission reward. The first example of this will be in the sabotage mission of the next sidestories pack... which will include a reward of a new dance emote. (side bar: if it is /twerk, I'm going to /wrists)

More features coming and old ones getting revamped for quality of life improvement, but no details on that.

More details on the streamlining of the current raids - but that is an Issue #11 thing, not the next sidestories bit. More details pending as it gets closer. Same with Halloween - which will be given some details in the next GD letter.

*twitch* if only they would release details about the chat protocol they use for TSW (so the community can make chatbots), as that notification system sounds perfect for use by TSW chatbots etc.

What concerns me about this is having to invest both FC points to unlock a sidestories pack and time to reach a level that that pack is doable or even reachable in order to get a new dance emote. For those of us who don't actually have much more game time than we already spend at shows, we'd have to take a break from dancing to learn a new dance move. I'm not sure I like that idea. Sneaking into some creepy mansion full of crossdressers, gothy servants, and a flesh golem boy toy to learn the /timewarp, for example, would make sense. The mansion in question just better not be in Tokyo.

I think that you will find that the entire side stories package will take place in Tokyo, To quote the letter:

"Firstly, Sidestories: The Last Pagan, will be arriving in the next couple of weeks. This is a new mission pack in Tokyo featuring 6 missions "

So best get those skills up as you need to be pretty much able to do NM dungeons to have any success in Kaidan..



Also wasn't there some tidbit posted some months ago about the MoCap having been done for the TimeWarp as a dance? It was promised with Tokyo but didn't appear..

Can always tag a well geared/skilled player for a run through if needed in other words could ask Ash for help... sure he's maxed his skills and got uber god like gear *nods*
