In this time of remembering those whose lives were taken from us, let us not forget the families of the victims or those behind the action itself. Today is not only a day for mourning those who have passed on, but also a day or rejoicing that we as a nation have survived, grown stronger, and been reminded that we must stand united against our foes if we are to win this battle.

In standing together we must not look to our neighbor and question their beliefs, their religions, the color of their skin or what makes them tick... in America these things are our rights, our freedom. When we stand together, look to your neighbor as your brother or sister, friend or family, a fellow American living the same life you are living. United we stand, divided we fall. I don't remember where it is from, but it is something I have been taught and believed my entire life. Hatred and prejudice for our fellow Americans should not be tolerated.

In remembering this day, remember to love your neighbor, even if he plays his stereo too loud or argues with his wife on the weekend. Respect your fellow American, and remember the freedom that so many have fought to protect.

I salute the men and women whose lives were taken, the heroes who charged in to try and save the wounded, and every member of the families who lost someone on 9.11.01 ... may they find peace in their hearts and souls, and may they never be forgotten.

/me 's eyes water up
i love my freedom and i honestly wish i could be fight for it right now
if i wasnt in school right now thats were id be

when i first heard of what happened i couldnt get the feel for what truly had taken place

it wasnt until i went up to visit nyc again and when i took the ferry to liberty island and i could see the twin towers looking down on us all anymore.

i have full respect for anyone who believes in freedom and is willing to fight for it
