Android app for AO/GSP

I know this was posted in some thread on the old forums before the merge, but I cannot seem to find it now (admittedly only did a couple quick searches)

Question is, what app can I put on my phone to be able to chat in AO? and also

what app can I put in my phone to allow me to listen to the stream?

Thanks!

I remembered the name AnarchyTalk. Which I couldn't find in the play store, because they renamed it to "The leet"

I don't even own a smartphone, but I believe I've heard Android users refer to XiiaLive as an app that does the trick with an AAC+ stream like ours. If someone can confirm this works well, I'll add it to our thread in GSP Tech as a way to tune in.

Considering my new toy is an Android tablet, I kinda needed that as I was going to bug someone about it. ;) I shall test it when it comes in!

The leet will let you talk in game but hasn't had a update since the server info changed so you can't use it to tune in. You can just tune in through the webpage from memory though.

Just downloaded the free version of XiiaLive app. Works great so far. Download the app, visit gridstream.org, click tune in, choose option 2. Box (at least on my samsung galaxy S4) will appear, tell it to use Android system, and then XiiaLive.

Then you're done. To re tune in, open the app, click player, press play. (I only have gsp as a tune in source, so if you have more than 1 internet radio station, not quite sure how that works)

If you have multiple stations you can save it to your favorites or pull it up from your history. I believe if GSP was the last thing you listened to, it will be the first thing it will play.

Thanks for the feedback Tali! I've added it to our FAQ on tuning in. :)

Seems Novagen finally got around to updating the leet, there was an update for it this morning and now the stream is working again for it :)
