Death Note, Kenshin (the transition from Movie to series is a bit jarring as it goes from completely serious to comedy with serious bits), Naruto (try and skip the filler episodes most of them are crap), Bleach. I'm sure there is more but I'm a bit tired atm.

"Anime" is a pretty broad category. Not quite as much so as "Rock", but same idea. What are some of your favorites? Or are you looking to branch out into stuff you wouldn't normally watch?

Some of my favorites are the brain twisters, like "Neon Genesis Evangelion" and "Serial Experiments Lain" and "Boogiepop Phantom".

Giant Robots and political intrigue are always a fun combination. "Gundam Wing" and "Eureka7" and "Code Geass".

Teenage Japanese Charlie's Angels with a Giant Robot against Ugly Monsters and Evil Conspiracies is just all kinds of fun. "Burst Angel"

Steampunk + Magic = Win. "Black Cat" and "Full Metal Alchemist"

Magical girls with psychomechanical familiars (think Meta-Physicists with robots) whose powers are fueled by love (emotional, not physical) might be too girly, but maybe someone else out there likes that. "My Hime"

Japanese anime based on a Korean game inspired by Norse myth translated into broken English by an Austrian fan is like having an anthropology class on DVD. "Ragnarok: the Animation"

Wow. Okay. Have you tried Amazon? They've got enough statistics to make pretty good recommendations. Go to their video department and rate some of your favorites and ask for recommendations. When they come back with a page full of stuff you've seen, rate those too and repeat until they find something new. There's gotta be something there you haven't seen. You can 't watch them for free there, but you can get titles to search for.

When you've drained Netflix dry, maybe try Hulu? I haven't checked their anime selection, but I know they have a different selection of other genres than Netflix does. Different licensing due to their DRM systems.

And there's a lot of anime review web sites out there, too. Anything with "Otaku" in the title is likely to have heard of stuff even Amazon hasn't yet. Might be harder to find those to watch, though.

Some reccomendations, and links to Japanese stuff. Easy to find in English and fun to look at in Japanese.

Welcome to the NHK - Japanese shut in conspiracy (NHKにようこそ! - 日本ひきこもり協会)
Funny one about a shut in who has to learn from a little girl and his twisted life.
http://www.kadokawa.co.jp/hikky/index.html
Funnything about the site, it asks if your still worthless (もうだめだ?) and if you pick yes, it takes you to the show site, and if you pick no you go the site of the fictional anime upon which the main character blames his problems / worships.

Sayonara zetsubo sensei (さよなら絶望先生)
All about crazy Japanese culture with the crazy Japanese in mind. (Note this one is hard to get unless you really like Japanese culture.)
http://www.starchild.co.jp/special/zetsubou/

Durarara (デュラララ!!)
A crazy little tale about how lives can get intertwined with rival color gangs, enchanted swords, and headless spirits from ireland. Yeah, thats really what its all about. Ikebukuro is a cool place.
http://www.durarara.com/

Eden of the East (東のエデン)
Its quite an interesting tale about global reconstruction and a very interesting game. I left off with where the movie shold pick up and cant wait for more.
http://juiz.jp/special/

Berserk (ベルセルク)
Classic one about a beast of a fighter and his little buddy who turns to one hell of a demon. Good story and not all goofy screen pause hair colored shouting when they fight.
http://www.younganimal.com/berserk/

Trigun (トライガン)
If you havent seen it just do. Its classic and entertaining.

and many many more....

Jiri, it looks like you've very nearly exhausted the genre. Maybe you should move on and find other enjoyable television? Just a suggestion. Variety is good, and as much as you dig anime, there's tons of other non-related stuff out there you can watch that you haven't already seen. ;)

My recommendations of great shows that have nothing to do with anime:

Spartacus: Blood and Sand
Stargate Atlantis or SG1
Camelot (the 2011 Starz series)
The Big Bang Theory
Alphas (new series on SyFy)

Those are some of my favorites. Maybe you've seen some of those already, but I always appreciate recommendations from my friends of what's good, so consider this as me paying it forward. :)

If you're still looking for something, I can suggest going here. You can watch quite a few anime series on here for free.
