Those funny commercials we've been hearing lately, apparently from various GTA games, reminded me of Tabula Rasa's Foreas Base announcements. I didn't manage to download them when they were available, but there's a YouTube video that plays them over a picture of the base's main building.

This is the central HQ on the second planet you would visit in that game, where most of the NPCs hang out, giving you missions and rewards, selling ammo and upgrades and crafting components. Players would spend a fair amount of time here, so every few minutes, they'd get to hear one of these announcements over the PA.

What other games have you guys played that just randomly played something funny that you didn't have to even know anything about the game to laugh at? Share your links!

I don't have enough experience with gaming to have any to contribute, but I'd love to see more of those

The GTA III, Vice City, San Andreas, GTA IV + Expansions I believe (not sure if I got any new from the expansions) and Family Guy was grabbed by me. Lots og GTA ones I did not grab (way too many and tedious work) as to family guy gah, that's only a handful that stood out when I watched them. Way to many ones there.
They are all damn funny, and it would be fun with more.

Listening to these I think it would be even funnier to make Rubi-Ka related "announcements" like this.

There's a Hobbit fluff NPC in LOTRO during the seasonal festivals that plays the Scooby Doo theme song on the flute. Made me chuckle when someone pointed it out.

I don't think that was an NPC... I went around with a buddy playing the Ghost Busters theme in lotro, and when bored, Enjoy the silence/R.E.M.
