So i have to ask. what version of Winamp are the dj's using?

My understanding, and its been a while since i looked this up, but the only stable version of Winamp for doing Shout cast is 2.xx, and with all the keveching i hear about wWnamp crashing i was just wondering what everyone uses.

thanks!

I'm using the most recent version of winamp and I never have any problems. But I have winXP on my DJ rig, so that helps.

It's a piece of software, I always try to use the latest version...

But it still crashes from time to time.

I'm not complaining i am just wondering. It has been quite sometime since I used Shoutcast on a daily basis. And I found it more stable using Winamp 2.x though eventually i moved to SAM and didn't have those issues. Have to say SAM is some sweet sweet software. It seems that their website isn't working...
oh well. Need second cup of coffee and need to get back to work.

Recently I started having issues with winamp crashing on me every time I would open it. I had to check windows event viewer to find out that it was shoutcast causing the problem. I removed that and it was fine. I haven't reinstalled it as of yet,

I always update whenever it prompts me too, why not, its free right?
Usually its at least 98% reliable, and I haven't had it crash on me yet on my new win7&winxp setups
