hey all you wonderful people :D

I'm thinking of switching my access from comcrap cable modem to frontier dsl. Right now I pay about $100 for net+ basic digital tv/hd. I rarely watch tv (I have netflix). well Frontier has 2 diffrent package that I can get a 6Mbps for $45/month or a 768K for $38/month. I of course think the money the 6Mbps is worth it (for the streaming music I do and all that jaw peice)

anyway if I cut just tv and keep the cable modem it's going to cost me $60/month...

don't really care about e-mail adresses or webspace, I have my own colo server ^_^.

just wandering what you all think would be a good move?

I'd go with the 6Mbps. We had that at one point and it was fine. :)

Cheaper is better, just make sure you dont lose that good connection at 5:10 Pm as everyone logs into the pornbox after work, or at 3:15 when all the schoolkids log into WoW.

Our DSL is slower than cable significantly when high traffic times hit. Then again we're on an island in China. So its pretty far behind. On the mainland its really F'in good service.

You Americans and your crazy cheap energy. $9 a (US) gallon here in the UK. Hasn't been as cheap as $4.19 for over a decade...

Seems you're getting ripped off with net, tv and phone prices though :-)

hehe it's $3.85/gal here but I have a 20Gal tank in my pickup when it get's 11mpg(personal best for this truck since I got it Woot!) that $80/tank goes fast.

I know Klini we are lucky for it to where it is in the grand world of things.

I'm switching on monday if I can have to call in, might get a land line for once lol but mainly just getting the Dsl.

*hugs* n <3's
