Well it's the playoffs again and right now teams are deep in the strugglwe to durvive to the next round. Bothh the Canadians and Vancouver are doing well but we know this cab't be allowed to comntinue. Since having two Canadian teams in the Stanly cup playoffs will causde the Ameri\can networks to lose interest in shoiwing the games The NHL will once more step in to sabatage the Canadian teams. Keep your eyes on the re ferees. Expect them to go blind when US teams foul Canadian players. Expect them to over react if a Canadian player so much as looks like he might possinly habe a chance to slow down a Amerivan player.

In short expecy that the NHL will insure it's maximum profits at the expense of fair play. Then like most Canadian Hockey fans you can wonder why you bother to watch.

Seeing as most teams these days are fairly split between Canadian/US/Euro players, I don't think the refs are going to sabotage one team over another. granted most refs suck, but thats a general rule you find everywhere.

Canadian hockey fans watch.. because its our game!
Canadiens fans watch... because we're the best team in the world ;)

If it was only my opinion that the refereeing ws biased I wouldn't say anything. Vut the fact is that just about everyone I know is of the same opinion. That as we come closer to the finals the refereeing becomes more and more anti-Canadan. The reason for this is simple to make money off of the Stanley cup games requires TV coverage. American networks have no interest in showing a series with Canadian teams. Oarticularly not one where two Canadian teams slug it out. Soin short The Canadians and Vancouver can be the best teams in the NHL but they can't be allowed to win. But your not required to take my word for it. I just suggest you keep a close look at the refereeing.

hehe. Canadians.
There is no advantage over not having Canadian teams in the finals for television networks in the states, sponsors will buy air time anyhow and hockey fans will watch. Due to the limited number of Canadian teams in the NHL is it quite likely that you'll not see them going head to head in the finals because perhaps some other teams just played a better game of hockey to put it simply. We can't all root for the winning team or cry foul when our favorite loses, you just have to roll with it. Sometimes you eat the bear, sometimes the bear eats you.

Go Wings!
Go Habs!
