so like need help (phone tablet need smart people)

so like I have to buy a new phone this one sucks (old windows based phone) and I also want a tablet. if the world was just I would get a Iphone 4 and a Ipad but I don't have $1200 to blow lol so like I was thinking I could get like a Iphone 4 ($600) and maybe a Galaxy S tab? or a Ipad and a droid phone (which one?) of save some money and wait on the tab.
any thoughts?

You could just go with the Galaxy Tab since it is a tablet and phone in one.
Ok, nevermind, ignore me. A quick scan of the internet tells me that the phone functions don't work in the US.

I'm gonna hafta recommend the new phones Tarryk and I just got. They were so awesome and such a great deal that we actually both got the same phone. Samsung Fascinate. I hated Samsung for what I went through with the Moment, but they're making me a believer with this one. Facebook me if you want more info.

I have to use at&t is what my parents pay for >.<

If you have to go AT&T then go with the iPhone. It's probably your best bet.
Despite my earlier advice, you're probably better off staying out of the tablet market for the time being. iPad does have a good start on it, but they are mega expensive. Of the less expensive ones the Samsung Tab does seem to be the forerunner (and it is still costly). However, it is still a new market and maybe best to wait for better products and better prices. Also with the amount of apps out there for the iPhone you're going to be able to a lot of the same things that a tablet can do, just on a smaller screen.
If you must get a tablet one thing to think about is the connection to the internet. Some of them only have wifi access. However if you get one with 3G then you're going to have to pay an extra monthly service fee just like you do for you phone (or At&t may have some pay-as-you-go plan).
