The Mass Effect.

Postby Mawerick » Sat Jun 15, 2013 2:42 am

So, in light of tonights discussion of Mass Effect during Anger Management, I though I'd post the following link:
Why Mass Effect is the most important science fiction universe of our generation.

It's a great read. So read it. Your FanGirl demands it!

Makes me want to play through it again.

The opening portion of ME2 is one of the best openings to a game I have played

I think I might have to play them again as well lol

I actually just finished a stint of going through all 3 games twice. Female paragon the first time, male hard ass soldier the next.

I left all 3 installed but I likely won't be playing them again any time soon.

BTW Hi.

I'm part way through a playthrough of a Renegade Male who likes throwing things. But yeah finding time to actually play it is hard.

I'm playing a Renegade male myself right now on a full playthrough. I think I've gone through all 3 games 8 times, and I still have about 8 more playthroughs planned.

I love this series.

All three DLC's for ME3 are fantastic, but I really encourage anyone who hasn't played it yet...to try "The Citadel" out. It adds so much social interaction with the crew, and it really makes for a perfect goodbye to the series.

So I don't know how long the price as been this low, but ... the PC version of the ME Trilogy was only 30 bucks, and I finally have money, sooooo... I bought it.

Woot! I hope you love it as much as I do. ME1 is a bit dated by now, but it's worth sticking with for the story. It still remains the favorite of the three for some folks though. I'm still partial to ME2 as my favorite in the trilogy with ME3 as a very close second.

If you ever have any questions, feel free to shoot me a PM. As many times as I've played the series, I'm probably a Mass Effect encyclopedia by now.

Will do! Dated games don't bother me all that much. I went back to Kotor 1 and 2 a few months ago for another playthrough. And our tabletop Gm gave me some of his games before he moved to Nevada such as The Longest Journey, Monkey Island, and Sacred ^.^

Nice! My friend recently ordered ME3, and I wish she'd consulted me first so I'd have had the chance to convince her to get this set instead.

Oh, and she ordered ME3 because I linked the article from Maw's OP to her. 8)
