very cool griddy, just read through and practically everything you mention makes perfect logical sense. very well written =)

here's to hoping that game devs take notice and incorporate it into future titles, the data gathered would be very useful to any dev wanting to see how players behave with a given set of content so that future content caters specifically to how the majority of gamers play.

Very good point griddy and I know valve have learnt a fair bit from it. The one thing that I can think of thats not on your list is you can see where players got stuck for long periods of time or quit entirely.

True, but I was hoping that bright developers would see that possibility on their own without me spelling it out for them. (if they need THAT much help maybe they should hire me :P

The article just outlined the basic functionality such a feature should have.
Valve and BioWare has truly impressed me all these years, especially BioWare which is currently my No1 favorite game developer.
