RIP
I still have tons of these laying around, while I don't use them anymore, it's an end of an era for computer users.
And you young'ns that grew up with CDs...1.44mb was all that was needed most of the time!

Griddy, the 720s were only around for a few years, do they really count?
Also, the 5.25s!
Or punch cards.....

Yeah I still have a bunch of those laying around too. Mostly stuff I saved from an old job actually. I'm not even sure why I kept them except that I was always very possessive of the databases and spreadsheets I created in those days (and never trusted a single one of the dolts I worked with to do a proper back-up).
I used to have a bunch of 5.25s as well but I got rid of those a long time ago. Along with a bunch of back-up tapes from my old compaq deskpro.

Am I the only one here that still has reel to reel tapes and 8inch floppy disks?

my gawd, if your "disc" is 8 inches and floppy, that's a scary thought.

But now it's official! Just because no one really used them since about 2004 doesn't mean they were dead...just resting!
