Character wipe incoming

As stated by Means on Friday,
http://forums.anarchy-online.com/showthread.php?t=571155, on Monday-ish FC is doing a character wipe. If you run a bot log in the actually character or it will could deleted or renamed.

Maybe to give ppl another chance before the big nuke :p or at least explain stuff better and more detailed just like in your link.

Well, there goes the names of all my toons, and some 600 to 800mill credits on bank-alts, not counting the amount of gear that'll go poof.
Oh well.
The chances of me returning to Rubi-Ka is about the same as me becoming a fighter-pilot, anyway. Slim, none, and non-existing. Most of the people I knew have long since moved on to other pastures anyway, so it's a closed chapter.

hmmm.. i missed it by 2 days... my weenies were vaporized....
for some reason my 4 higher lvls chars were left alone with everything including name intact... wonder if the one doin the wipes was a fan of gsp and the couple mixes i did back in the day lol...
we shall never know... though its good... had i logged in and saw a blank account of chars i prob wouldnt have bothered playing further lol.

Means posted more details about the wipe afterward, including how to recover your name if it was changed.

It was based on both the character level and the time away. If you were away for two years, your level 1-5 characters were deleted and your level 6-174 characters were renamed. Level 175 and up were left alone unless they were afk for over four years.
You can use the "/name nick Myoldname" command to get your name back on the renamed characters, assuming no one else has claimed it already. Better hurry. Good pronounceable names are a rare commodity on Rubi Ka.
