Sexiest song ever?

Postby Dasubervixen » Fri Feb 12, 2010 6:54 pm

I was listening to the news on the radio this morning. They announced that for Valentine's Day. Billboard Magazine had made a list of the 50 sexiest songs from the last half century.

When they played part of the number one song. I couldn't believe it.

"NNNNooooooo WWWWaaaayyyy!" I thought to myself. Have they gone insane? How could this be?

I'll admit that I do like the song. Because I like cheesy pop music. But that as #1 sexiest song? "I don't think so."

Going to the Billboard site. I learned that the songs were ranked based on each song's performance on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Not on how "sexy" they were. This also must explain how Barry White isn't on the list. As impossible as that could when you consider his work.

So, this started me wondering. What is the sexiest song of the past 50 years?

What would you, my dear GSP friends, pick as the sexiest song?

My choice.

Yeah don't agree with Physical either Vixen and U will have to post your pick, copyright laws won't let Canadians see your link.

Though this song is about a "player"; I think, Sade- Smooth operator is a sexy song, the sax, bass, rhythm, and Sade's voice...hello!

Perhaps I am a big carebear deep down.

Lutzie, your pick is great. That song is in my top ten for the sexiest for sure. The saxaphone IS the sexiest of all musical instrument. I think.

Never though people wouldn't be able to see my link. Thanks for letting me know that. For anyone that couldn't see it. My pick is K. D. Lang's, Sexuality.

Funny that they wouldn't let you see that Lutzie. She's from Canada too.

My two (cuz picking is hard) cents:

A second vote for Sexuality - Though her song Barefoot is -almost- as sexy.

Puscifer - Rev 22:20.. The voice, the bass, the underlying melody tones, the lyrics.. Guhhhhh.. -drool-

Though on an ACTUAL sexiest song list (voted on how sexy they ACTUALLY were) I saw Chris Isaac - Wicked Game still #1.. It's pprreeettyyy sexy and deserves a nomination.
So I say thank you for the music, for giving it to me

I always loved that song since I played The Sands of Time. Not sure if that's "sexy" I would call it more love song than sexy maybe except for the girl's voice. Depends your definition of sexy. It's more a song to dance close with someone or share something even more deep to get the lyrics at max. My personal opinion at least.

Anyway...

Lyrics aren't really anything to do with romance, but it's a nice to do the business to!
