Oh Hai

So I heard this rumor, that Funcom was going to come out to my neck of the woods for PAX this year. And I was all like "Wow, they are going to be at PAX and Dragon Con at the same time, they must be doing well" And then I just looked at the exhibitor list for Dragon Con and didn't see them there. So are they only going to PAX?

And if so, sad for end of DragonCon corporate sponsored GSP parties? But, the leet dares to hope, the begining of new PAX corporate sponsored GSP parties? please... yes? I have missed you guys last year, and and would be awsome to see some of you again this year. I know its awfully short notice if you hadn't already planned on going to PAX, but maybe next year if Funcom comes back out.

I can kinda see why they made the change, as fun as Dragon Con was (and it was fun, no lie), PAX is really a much better fit for a video game company. Plus, purely selfishly, its in my back yard.

So... enough rambling. Will I see any of you at PAX labor day weekend? Or if not, maybe PAX East in Boston for the spring?

Meik!!!!! *pouncesnuggles*

Actually Funcom is still going to be going to DragonCon as well this year. Just in smaller numbers and no booth. They are still hosting a big party at DragonCon this year (DJ'd by Tarryk w/celebrity guests!!) so GSP folks will be heading there this year again. (sorry Meik, I miss you too).

Most of Funcom's efforts this year will be on PAX and I really can't say what that might mean for subsequent years as far as which way GSP will fall. I guess we'll have to see what comes. :)

Its great to hear from you, Meik. Hope to see you sometime!
