Masked Man Robs Convenience Stores With Klingon Sword

Postby eadaoin » Wed Feb 04, 2009 6:34 pm

This is the story Shillelagh (or I should say his giggling fit) woke me up with.

The site he got it from:
http://entertainment.slashdot.org/artic ... 04/1456240

An article I found that goes a little more in-depth:
http://www.thedenverchannel.com/news/18 ... ail.html#-

I'm impressd that the clerks were able to identify the weapon.

I shall call him 'Squishy,' and he shall be mine, and he shall be my Squishy.

The guy tried to rob 2 different stores and both clerks recognized the blade.

OK, that is a little scary, since my brother is an assistant manager of a convenience store in Colorado Springs.

LMFAO!!

Who thinks the comments are pretty funny too? And seriously, he could have used a "real" one.......

At least the second clerk refused to give him money.

Well at least he gets points for originality.

I was JUST talking about something similar the other day after watching the local news, upset about how often they play the "gunmen robs store" clips every single night that are barely even entertaining anymore. I thought it would be awesome and a LOT more entertaining if a store, a Walgreens or something, was robbed by a bunch of ninjas with katanas or a guy ran into a convenient store with a gigantic 2HE claymore and demanded money.

Anyone can shoot somebody, and it's not entertaining. Swords take skill and leave memories, noobs.

I wonder what the robber bought with the loot. Action figures? Convention tickets? A subscription for Star Trek Online?
