GridStream Productions

I had an idea.
Is it a good idea?
I don't know. If you ask my friends they'll tell you my ideas usually aren't good ones.
So whats the idea?

GSP has been around a while. And like most things that have been around a while it has a history. I wasn't there for the first few years personally but I find myself curious. So I was thinking of resurecting the ghosts of DJ's past. Basically a list of GSP DJ's from it's founding to the latest. With a one or two line blurb on them as to longevity, musical style and maybe a where are they now.

Where this idea breaks down.
I have a lousy memory and can hardly remember my own name.
Also theres bound to have been issues that nobody wants to dig up. I certainly don't want to dig them up. So polite kind and say only good things. Because eveyone of the DJ's has helped form what GSP is today and all are worth honoring.

So from what little I can remember.. I think it all starts something like this.

Tarryk and Metalynx(SP) Had an idea. They were probably drunk. But good ideas can sometimes be found at the bottom of a bottle. Personally I primarily blame Tarryk as his brain is wiggly that way.

I will admit to possibly being totally wrong and if so correct me.

I didn't think Metalynx was in on the conception of GSP, but I could be wrong. I'll have to defer to Tarryk or Tastyvixen for the first year of GSP. My memory kicks in after that and I think I could likely name every DJ from that point forward.

while in some regards to former dj's, it could be an interesting little exercise, there are some, that I don't think would be too forthcoming on the 'where are they now' stakes.. who knows..

Tarryk would be the best one to ask for the founding of GSP info obviously, but I do know that Metalynx was not involved in the creation of the org.

If I remember correctly, Tarryk, Wyldthing (sp?) and one other were the 3 founders that remained in the org after creation.

Boco was the third iirc

ahh, thanks Ceryn, that was the 3rd name I couldn't remember.

The actual founders for the in-game organization of GridStream Productions were just 3 peeps: Shadowrunrr (sic), Boco, and myself. Wyldthing came along a couple months later, if my memory serves me correctly.

(you needed 6 peeps to create an org, obviously, and we just had listeners to my show hanging around at one point, so we used & abused them to help us create the org)

I'll spill guts on the actual ideas & process of the org creation later (I'm late for my show tonight hehe)

Gridstream has brought a lot of joy and happiness in to my life and I'm sure I'm not the only one who can say that.

I am sure, that somewhere around, cant remember if it were written or recorded, there was a history of gsp done for the 5th birthday
