As if Sweden would even have a threat of terrorist attack.

One crappy thing about the law is that it hits other Nordic countries as well, since a lot of international telecommunication traffic from Finland and Norway go through Sweden.

If I remember correct many of the online game servers are hosted by TeliaSonera, among others Blizzard's and EA's.

The law will most likely be dismantled soonish. It's most likely to be in direct violation with our constitutional laws. I am suprised it got passed, but it was just with a few votes. I think it was 143 for it, and 138 against.

But the thing is that it's been reported to KU (Constitutional Department) which will investigate if it's against the constitution to have this law passed.

But as you all have figured out everything will be monitored, even domestic calls as even alot of them might cross the borders on a router or something.

That's what happens when you have ignorant politics who don't understand technology hehe.

I've often wondered if the powers that be know just how much traffic and storage-capacity this would take. And most times I come to understand that most politicians know about as much about technology as I do about quantum physics. I know it exists, but that's about it.
