I need halp! Recruiting for a Rimor RP effort

In December I invited members from the Age of Conan roleplay community to a story arc in Anarchy Online. I had played Anarchy Online in the past and figured it would be a good way to spend time until Age of Conan released.

There was plenty of enthousiasm, so I started the story arc and prepared characters and gear and such for the in-game storytelling and roleplay. Turns out only 2 actually manage to play. The rest either lacks time or has technical issues with installing, patching and running AO.

So after investing quite a bit of time and energy into this project, I'm left with a big failboat. By then I was really getting back into AO and came to the conclusion I shouldn't ever have left the game. The gridstream parties had some part in this - it has been a fun divertion while I grind myself through some pretty boring homework/study.

What it comes down to is that I want to continue the roleplay effort I began by inviting people from communities other than the roleplay community of Age of Conan.

I'm not having allot success yet though. Again, people show interest but fail to actually sign up on my forums and get involved. I am trying to figure out the cause of this.
1. My forums suck.
2. I'm inviting the wrong type of people.

What do you people think of these forums, content-wise? I know it sucks graphically.

Also, any tips on what and where to invite? Sites like mmorpg.com and The Escapist. Anything with forums and a gamer audiance.

Any advise is greatily appriciated while I try to keep this effort rolling. :)

well first off, the content is ok on the forums, but the style......making them look cool is important, i just started running forums for my other org, i would show you guys but the signatures for some users are not work safe :)

i would suggest going to the phpbb website and checking out styles there are some cool cyberpunk ones
