I saw on a weather site I visit that Tennessee is about to be pummelled by severe weather, including possibly multiple tornadoes.

Just want to be sure everyone stays safe!

Ivan called to tell me that there were locusts outside his windows, frogs jumping around in the street... but he fudged his birth certificate so he wasn't the firstborn. He should be fine.

Ehh, they are rather far off, small one is in Memphis, larger one looks like it is totally going to miss Nashville. If I don't sound worried, it's because the tornadoes rarely hit down here in Nashville, at least where I live.

a little update for Valli, the whole thing is far west of me at the moment. Projections are it won't hit till around 2am, and the tornadoes are, I think, on the southern end of the storm wall. Anyway, just to give you an idea of how rare a tornado touchdown in the main Nashville area is the siren that was installed about 10 years ago has only gone off three or four times since then. At the worst power is going to go out because the power line right outside of my house seems to like to shut down if there is a moderately stiff wind.

A bit banged up here but besides that this area is fine. It was more of a wind issue than tornadoes.
