Life changing moments ahead ... :)

Every once in a while life decides to take a turn and move you in a different direction and as it happens one of these turns has recently happened.

As of somewhere in the middle of May my life will change abit and more responsibility put on my shoulders. I am excited and scared at the same time, but mostly the feeling of beeing scared is slowly but steadily transforming into a solid feeling of happiness.

You are probably wondering what this might be, and the answer is quite simple, I am about to be a dad soon and be blessed with either a son or daughter :)

And the mother is no other than the one you all know as "Tastyvixen"! :)

As part of this both our lives are going to change quite dramaticly as we are not even living in the same country yet, something we both hope will change soon. As of monday this week the papers were handed over to the Swedish embassy in Washington DC for Tasty to be able to move over here to Sweden and live with me.

So this year is going to be both exciting and trying on both of us, but in the end we'll be happy I am sure! :)

Oh My God! Oh that's such fabulous news!

Congratulations to you both! It was such a joy to meet you both in Atlanta last year. I was really able to see then what a wonderful couple you made. I wish you both...er...three of you...all the happiness in the world! :)

Well huh...they do say things happen in 3's. First Dani. Now Tasty. *looks around at the DJ's* Ok, who's next? :)

Thank you :)

Once the shock wore off I'm very happy. :) I admit I'm a tad scared about the whole idea of moving to a country I don't even know the native language of. But its worth it. If after years of a long distance relationship we are still together then its something meant to last. :D I still can't go for more then a couple days without talking to him even though we ran out of things to say long ago. lol

Living in another country is hard Tasty, I'm not going to lie. At least I can speak the language here.....mostly heh. Pretty much everything you are used to is not the same way anymore. I mean come on! Why doesn't anyone in Australia carry Lucky Charms!!! That's my favorite cereal of all time :(:(

Not sure if it worth it or not, but a quick search of Amazon.com looks like you can order Lucky Charms (and several other cereals) for delivery in Australia. It also looks like you can sign up for it on a subscription plan which saves a little money and will just automatically send your boxes of cereal to you once a month. Again might not be worth the expense with shipping and whatnot. But the option is there. :)

I doubt it will be this year. The baby will only be 4 months old and I would rather not be away for a few days while still nursing. Breast pumps suck and with how far our room could be from the booth I could be spending most of my time walking back and forth. We will definitely be there next year though! I'm sure by then I'll be more then willing to take some time off from mommy duty. hehe

You don't know X well do you? lol He is stubborn as a mule when he wants to be. I've been trying to convince him for years to move to the US. Besides, its not that bad were he lives. I've been there both in the winter and summer. Yes, the winters are colder there but thats what the sauna is for. :) Besides, the schools and health care are much better there.

Yes yes, we have welfare... You know, not just as a word like other countries, but an actual system that works... No one is poor, and the only people who live on the street more or less chose to... But it's boring here... And wet. And cold... Did I mention wet?... It really is very wet... And ever so cold...

But ok, if you are to unleash spawn upon the world, I guess you could do it worse places than scandinavia... We seem to dodge some of those unfortunate statistics, such as "most gun fights / stabbings / teenage mothers / abortions / crack addicts / unemployed" and what not our neighbouring countries seem obsessed with topping...

But it's wet!? :(

I'm not a big fan of hot weather and I don't mind rain so it sounds good to me. ;) Besides, I'm not moving there just to be able to call myself a Swede. I'm moving there to be with my honey. :D I'm sure he will be more then happy to keep me warm on those cold rainy days.

Bah, wet weather is just another reason to stay inside with a hot cup of chocolate, a blanket, snugglies and a good movie, and laugh about all the sorry asshats that has to be outside in that kind of weather

Me? Sick, evil and twisted? Why, thank you!

Anyway! Congrats Tasty and X! And just remember, Tasty...if anyone tries to get you to eat Surströmming.....for the love of any and all gods....say no :P
