Postby Meenstreek » Mon Jan 21, 2008 11:27 pm

I just purchased mine about 10 mins ago. You get cool swag like a mount, a ring and a cape. Holy hell is this game amazing as well!

Release date is May, 2008.

Sorry, don't have the European Pre-Order link, maybe one of you can go to http://www.ageofconan.com and select your country and go to the Pre-Order section to get it.

OK, Meenie we can purchase them now but we will not get them until March right??? I am so excited to try it out tho I know it will never replace AO for me. OH and another question will we have to pay a monthly charge as well to play this like we do in AO??

as far as recieving it in March, thatwill not happen, as they just pushed the release back to May I think, and for the monthly fee, yes you will have to pay, and it will probably be about the same as most other MMO fees out there.

Yeah, I love how they pushed the release date back again and then turned around and offered pre-orders a few days later. lol

I'm not at all surprised it got pushed back though. With only two months to go and they haven't said much about stress testing yet.... wasn't a good sign.

Ya, news just came out today saying they are pushing the release date to May. Sooooooo we'll just have to wait. But yes, you can order it now and get it shipped to you when it comes out and yes you'll have to pay a subscription fee. I'm guessing like 15 bucks a month like AO.

I am a little disapointed that they will not be doing an "open beta" as I am in the habit of seeing how well a game will run on my system before shelling out money for it. This is especially true when the only package that gets a 'benefit' from pre-order is the collectors edition.

Before I pay $80+ for the software I want to "Know" I can run the game and get decent performance.

And before someone brings up the existing beta opportunities, I have been on that list since *ponders* last september. Still waiting to see if I get any e-mail from them besides the newsletters.

I was planning on getting this one. It's $50 and gets a few things.

I assume it's legit as it's Gamestop. Wooly mammoth ftw. ^.^

Yup, that's true Traanse. That's what funcom told us at D*C last year is that if anyone pre-orders they get their pick of a mount and get a backpack :). Yaaaaay!

Acushla, another way to check if you can run a game is to check out this website srtest.com. The usually have most recent releases on there and its a simple check they do. Also, be sure to look for the requirements for the game when they release them.
