A couple of graduate students at Cornell University (woohoo, go Big Red! *Cornell alum*) decided to make a mathematical model to express the movement of people in a moshpit - since it seems so closely related to how molecules move in a gas.
SO COOL. (and a little moshpit simulator you can play with at the bottom).
