Memberships for D*Con 08 are on sale now via the D*Con website @ [url]dragoncon.org[/url]

The membership costs did go up a little bit this year, but not a lot.

$60 until 2/29/2008
$65 until 5/15/2008
$75 until 7/15/2008
$90 after 7/15/2008 and at the door

It's definitely worth the $30 savings to pre-register before the end of February. And the nice thing is, while they don't offer refunds, you can transfer your badge to someone who is going, if you cannot.

Oh and, D*Con rocks. *nods*

Just wanted to remind people about this. It is not too soon to start making plans. They have started to update the hotel information, here. I know I made my reservations around this time last year and although the website was not updated, I was still able to get the DragonCon rate by calling the hotel directly.

With Lyk and I both currently out of work, looks like we're not going to be able to do any D*Con planning until money's a bit more certain

Well, not unless anyone happens to have a private jet flying transatlantic and wants to offer us both a lift

The Hotel promo codes are up on the DCON website.

Yes, the codes are up, but before anyone panics...

You may find that if you go online to make your reservations you get information that the hotels are already booked for those dates. They're not. If you don't wish to wait, you can still make your reservations via telephone and the codes provided will still work fine. Otherwise, if you can have a little patience, the hotel websites will update. (I have no clue how long this takes...a day, a week...no idea... but trust me that they will update. )

Looks like the prices have been adjusted this year. I am pretty sure that last year all of the hotels were $150/night at least for a single/double. Now it looks like they vary in price. Hm. I was going to go Marriott again but I may have to consider the Hyatt afterall.

I called the Hyatt and booked already, as the Hyatt website was timing out. Everything went fine, yeah the prices look like they went up, the Hyatt was a great hotel to stay in, the elevators were a little crazy but it was an amazing time.

Tyg and I are booked into the Hilton again this year, we were only able to get a double but have a request in for a upgrade to a deluxe studio, I hope we can get it..I have the room the tickets are already ordered and now just need to book the flight, we are going to be there Thurs. to Monday this year I do not want to miss anything...

dammit i want to go to DC this year but i mite be in Aussieland with a friend not sure

Doh! The consequences of last year's D*Con might have us sitting the next couple out, unless we win the lottery or something. Double doh!

I have nooooooooooooooooo idea what's going to transpire this year for me :-/. If I'm in the navy....can I get the days off? No clue ><! So this might be a year off for me :(:(:(. That makes me extremely sad to say too :-/. Oh well, we'll see won't we heh.

Correction if I said otherwise anywhere else, I just realized that the Funcom booth will be back at the Marriott this year, NOT the Hilton.
