But um....Alan is saying that? *cries* :( If it's a ...sequel... then... blah. He's my favorite.

Well, all Universal said was, "how about another?" ;) They'd likely come to Joss for a script. (C'mon, BOOK! I need your secrets unvield!)

Though, one following the other IS the next logical step.

Here's the finny thing; I just saw a commerical for SAW 4... This, and there's concerns of the next Serenity movie being dvd only. When crap gets the big screen, gold needs a bigger gorram screen!

I don't even care if it's direct to DVD. All that means is they get a TV level budget, and Joss did juuuust fine with that on the series. Plus it means I get to pick it up without having to wait for it to leave theaters. :P

Anyhow, yes, if they do a sequel, it's already pretty much a given that it would have both Wash and Book in it, mostly likely in the form of backstory and yet-unfilmed flashback sequences.

Or, as the Stargate writers say: "In Sci-Fi nobody ever really dies!"

Ohh wouldn't it be great if the BOOK was alive again, as in he faked his own death for some mysterious reason. The greatest plot developing character, in the sense that it could of gone in any direction.

Book is really the only one left we know jack squat about. We know enough to make educated speculations, but otherwise, that is all. :) I really would like to know more about him.

How exactly do you fake dying when you die in another persons arms? Sure theres going to be drugs that could fake it but it's not Book knew the attack was coming and was ready. Sad as it is I don't thing Books going to resurrect himself or that we'll learn anything more about his secret past.

Unless they do a Book spinoff thats a prequel to Firefly. But that wouldn't have the rest of the cast in it... Much more likely to happen as a graphic novel.

Also do we really want to know? I for one Like Book as he is. I don't want to learn that he's a reformed assassin, or the Pope of the Shepard movement. Or any other form of liar or hypocrate. We have just enough information to like him for the man he was. He died a hero trying to save the town he'd retired to. It's a good ending for that character.

Walsh on the other hand.... Bad, bad, bad, Joss... Grrr

It may just be another storyline that involves both of them. I cannot see Joss doing another movie (or season) without Book in it. Book is the one we know the least about, but I think he may have one of the best back stories. We just don't know yet.

heh. Yeah how silly of me, I clearly hadn't put any thought into that non-serious remark, duh points for me. Darn what an idiot.

I remember hearing Alan Tudyk volunteered to have his character Wash killed off. As it was the end, and he wished to go down (with a bang).

I've also heard that Joss would ignore the film if there was going to be continuation of the series. I don't know what he'd do with a sequal film.
