‘Tales from the Hoff’ follows the ‘Baywatch’ actors every move; plus NBC resurrects 'Knight Rider'

Will it be a match made in heaven, or hell?

Ryan Seacrest and David Hasselhoff have teamed to bring a new E! series, Tales from the Hoff, to the small screen, says Variety.

Starring the Hoff himself (who, admittedly, is available), Tales follows the “international icon” as he flits about Hollywood and re-enters the dating pool after a messy divorce; Seacrest serves as the executive producer of the Curb Your Enthusiasm-esque series.

The project allegedly got off the ground following conversations Hasselhoff had with friends about how his life “might inspire an interesting TV show.”

In other Hoff news, NBC has announced that it is producing an updated version of Knight Rider.

The 80s series starred Hasselhoff as a guy who got to drive around in a super-cool, indestructible car called K.I.T.T. The two-hour pilot, scheduled to air next year, may serve as the launch pad for a new series next fall.

So what can we say about Knight Rider? A series that should of credited the car as having the lead role. It was definately the less wooden acting talent. If you've seen the Hoff in his music Videos you've seen the true face of bad acting. Knight Rider is where it all began. Acting so bad you have to wonder who was the Hoff giving a blow job to...

It's on E!. I'm staying away. Far far far away. And wtf is with networks not using any of the bright ideas out there and resurrecting every dead and cancelled show over the last two years? Bionic Woman? Knight Rider? When will it end? When will Aquaman have his own show and not just a cameo on Smallville? What would Aquaman + The Sopranos sound like?

Mobster 1:"He's sleepin' with the fishes, sonny."

Aquaman:"They haven't said anything about that to me."

THIS IS MADNESS!

sorry Kyrros, nothing but respect for you as a dj but I must put my foot down here. They have in recent years redone, re-envisioned, redesigned, and otherwise resurrected "Alot" of concepts many of them well over 20 years old (see Bionic Woman). And for myself I would much rather see them do so than do CSI Brookland, Detroit, Pittsburg .... ad nausium, or yet another in the seemingly endless variety of "Reality TV" (pardon me while I blow chunks). At least give Bionic Woman a chance before you dismiss it. From what I have seen so far it carries very little from the original except the name

Actually there *was* an aquaman show that spun off from that smallville cameo. It never got past the pilot episode as it was canned after the production, but it was offered as a download on itunes (or whatever apples video download thing is) and it's aired on canadian tv networks and such ;D

Well, let's see.. Battlestar Galactica, Journeyman which is suspiciously like Quantum Leap, really, I could keep going on and on with spinoffs.

My point isn't that they suck, or that they're bad. Some of them, like the new Doctor Who, Battlestar, etc are awesome. I'm just commenting that for every show that's a breakout (uh.. let's take Eureka, John Doe or The Dresden Files, just from Sci-Fi) there's a ton of show necromancy going on that overbalances the scales.

I don't watch much TV past news and a few of the shows I've mentioned above because I'm sure that if I really really like a series, like John Doe or Dresden, it will be canceled before I can say "omgwtfbbq".

Speaking of, I like Journeyman too... so I expect it'll last one season. lol

Yeah, Sci-fi decided not to renew the series. So there's only the one season. That's it.
