Its extreamly hot here but thats a no duh :P
I hate putting my hair up everyday and I'm sick of whereing the same two things every day (DCU's and PT gear)

I have meet some new people and gone to a few of the local shops, I have bought 2 Mink blankets :) and lots of bootleg dvds... there so cheep here...
I'm off every tuesday and work 12 hr shifts every day.

Well I really got to run I'm extreamy busy but I missed ya'll and wanted to give a shout out to everyone

wow looks like everyone is at Dcon
*hugs all*

I miss ya'll hella bad

Though I was having a really hard time I think I'm getting the hang of everything around here and I'm really existed I'm going to taco bell tonight and the pool Weds... I know dose not sound like something to be overly existed for but when your whole world is tan its awesome :P

You know its weird things you never knew you could miss until there gone...
I live in a room with 4 other girls I get dressed in the dark every morning... not like its hard I put on the same thing everyday... I do get a chose in black, brown or sand color t-shirts hehe.
I have a pink reflective belt witch makes me happy :)
not having a cell phone (or for Veldy) a home phone makes life hard to get up to hang out with your friends... you have to make plans early especially if there of the opposet sex since guys are not aloud anywhere inside the bunkers around my building.

I have someone else do my laundry... witch is nice unless you need something washed quickly... it take 4 days to get anything back meaning you have to have ample clothing.
I miss my own internet I have my computer but I cant plug it up in my room cuz being the bed in the middle of the room I don't get a plug...
Everything is blocked.... I get two 15 min phone calls to the states a week... don't tell but that I don't follow well :P
you cant touch guys (or girls if your a guy) you cant drink... unless you like near beer :/ its even hard to find a normal soda/pop around here. Milk is weird and no way to tell if its old or not... I cant read Arabic...

The best things are I'm making money :)
the food at the chow hall is free, laundry is free, water is free (can only drink bottled water here) my pay check it tax free and I get combat/ hazard pay :)

haha so welcome to my new life in Iraq :)

I'll keep up with updates when I can :)
*hugs*

Girl, you've got much guts for going out and doing what you do. :) There's a lotta angst against this war, but I assure you, none of it is directed at you, or your comrads.

I hope, at the very least, you're stationed somewhere safe.

(I've become very personably acquainted with the wife of a guy serving in Iraq, and it's driving him bonkers. He's in a secure facility doing a whole lot of nothing. I hope your mental health is holding up. :) )

Snuggles Jen, well D-Con was awesome it was one of the best experiences I have ever had. I enjoyed every second of the day and night and to hang out with all those I have met in game and even those I have not met was the best. I was worried that I would not fit in but I could not have been more wrong everyone was just so nice and welcoming. I definitely want to do this again next year... Jen you just have to be able to do it next year I can say the memories you get from D-Con will be the best ever... lots of hugs and stay safe sweet thing.

I leaned over to Kira one evening at Dragon*Con and said how much I missed you. I so wish you could have been there Jeni, but I'm proud of you for doing what you do. You can cash in on the hugs and snuggles you missed this year when I see you next. :)

 Why? Why can't you hug? Why would they demoralise our troops with a lack of hugs?? I'd totally sneak out in the middle of the night to hug people.

Public Display Of Affection. The military is not too keen on that heh. Especially in a combat environment.

Hope all is well Jenn!!!
