Some songs have a message that rings true.

I found a version with subtitles. While the translation is literal and misses some of the implied concepts of the original song it does manage to follow the gist fairly well. Consider it a lament of how in the past 100+ years our way of living has changed drastically and the ever present sense of Nostalga that always seems to haunt us.
This following is an example of a Particularly French Canadian phenominon the Chanson du Geste or responce songs. The singer sings a line and the audiance sings it back to him. This patrticular one is very funny as it's a dig at the tendency to overmedicate ourselves...
