I sat at work deperately waiting for lunch so I could decide how many little bottles of Starbucks Frappaccino to buy...

I think your day was more interesting. I love fire... scared to hell of it, but so fascinated.... I choose to be called "pyroenamored." No, it's not a real word, but I insist that it doesn't matter.

I worked, and felt weird, because people have been acting strangely lately.

Apt fire; ouch. Those are much worse (opinion) than a house fire. I mean, more than one family could suddenly go homeless. :? There's an apt about 200 feet outside my window that occationally has BBQ's with outragious flames rocketing off of their grill. Because of the tree slightly obscuring the view, when I first saw it, I thought their apt was on fire and I called the Fire Dept. I felt bad when I learned it was just Extreem BBQ action. :( Bringing the firemen out on a false alarm, that is.

You should set aside extra money for the enevitable repair cost. :) You want to talk about cheap crafstmanship? You'll become a quick study once you've had the Thee-shitty for a little bit. :)

If he pays for Live, he'll wind up shelling out more money overall than the ps3. :) Between access (or level of account, for that matter), and the inevitable repair or two, he'll spend more over time than he would upfront for the ps3. :)
Being an owner, I can attest to the silid crasftmanship, and raw power of the machine. I've played with the 360 the year before the ps3 release, and it just doesn't stand up to time.

I'm not trying to bring compairisons out here though. If he wants a 360, fine. :) Just have some extra cash at hand for insurance. You'll need it. ;)

Today I pointed Keck II at one of the "loudest" supernovas in the galaxy. I pushed that button that made it so. I was listening to "Common People" by Pulp on my headphones. It was a humbling experience feeling those giant motors grind that mirror around. After everything was locked into place, I jammed U2's Wide Awake In America CD in my portable, walked outside into the inviting Hawaii air, lit up a Camel non-filter and soaked in the view on top of Mauna Kea's 14000 ft top.
