What can I say except Buffelo gets to go home and cry in their beer while munching on wings. The Senetors have won their shot at the Stanley cup.

Go! Sens! Go!

Don't get me wrong. I feel for the Duck Fans. I will have to come up with recipies so you can serve them once the Sens are done roasing them. But for now a classic.

1 4lb. duck
5-6 oranges
1/2 lemon
1 good glass of dry white wine (3 actually. 2 for the cook 1 for the pot)
1.6 oz. butter
salt
pepper
1/2 glass of liquor of orange

Brown the duck in a pot with half of the butter.

Press one orange and the half lemon.

Shred the zest of 2 oranges. Rub the skin of the orange on a very fine rape. Whiten this zest by putting it in a cold water saucepan that you will carry to boiling and that you stop as soon as it boils. Now mix them to juice.

When the duck is well-cooked, trim the pot, deglaze with the white wine and the juice of fruit. Replace the duck in the pot, salt and pepper. Cover and leave to cook again for 45 minutes.

Peel the remainder of the orange to lively and cut them. Take the duck out and add the pieces of oranges and the liquor in the juice of cuisson. Reduce heat and mix the remainder of the butter outside the fire. Cut the duck and serve right away.

They will always be the Disney wannabes to me.

It's been my opinion for years that the league was just to big and that the last thing needed was more expansion teams. Then Disney released a movie. "The Mighty Ducks.", Disney then created a team and poured a vast fortune into trying to buy the Stanley cup. They did good that first year. Money attracts talent. But they lost anyways. Disney continued to back them for one or two seasons then when the sequal movie to "The Mighty Ducks.", Was a box office failure they pulled out of hockey. Disney did have a posative effect on Hockey as they did extravagant displays between periods that have become the standard for all teams. Better showmanship means fan support. Fan support translates to money.

Money is the grease that keeps human civilization spinning like a top.

But all in all I still and will always see the Ducks as a Mickey Mouse organization.

What can I say the Sens died. It's rather sad really. But not surprising. It's the problem with small market teams. The Sens might have a larger budget than some other teams but they are still small market. This basically means that they can't afford to pay the salaries to have four good lines. This also means that dispite salary caps the Sens will likely need to trade away a fair chunk of their talent. Next year is likely going to suck really hard for the Sens.

Which isn't trying to make excuses or blame the Ducks for having a Large market.

Congo Rats Ducks.

Betcha Disney wishes they hadn't sold the team right now.
