Problem with Rimor shows, is roughly as follows....
Rimor folks scream "More Rimor Shows"
DJ's say.. Ok
DJ goes to Rimor...
DJ looks around...
People come..
DJ says.. "Hang on, you all are from Atlantean"
People say.. "Yeah, heard you was lonely"
DJ says.. "Where'd all the Rimor folk gone?"
People Shrug
DJ Goes back to Atlantean
Party Ensues..
Rimor folk say "Huh? There was a DJ? Here? I missed it?"

I'll be bringing Leather and Lighters to RK2 Monday night (2/12) and likely State of Delirium there next Thursday (2/15) also.
Unfortunately, Ceryn's post rings true far too often...but, I have noticed some improvement from the RK2 showings lately.

Yeah, Rimor's getting better, but there's still a ways to go before it's got an on-the-spot party atmosphere at the ready. But then again, even RK1 lacks every so often. Just depends on the swing of the week, I guess.
I'll be doing another show from RK2 again pretty soon, as well.

Disagree 100% with Ceryn's Post!!
In fact I could say the same for my shows about Atlantean...
I alternate as much as possible between the 2 dimensions, with a heavier emphasis on playing on Rimor these days! The Rimor fans of The Field of Dreams tend to:
Get to the show faster
and in larger numbers
Stay longer
Have more fun!
The field of dreams show on Atlantean tend to be more of a brief stop-over for most (except the Rimor fans that switch Dims for the Show

)
What can I say.. Rimor R0xx0rs! (well they party hard to the thumping dance!~)

I honestly think it's specific for each DJ...DJs draw certain crowds. I can draw a pretty decent crowd on both dimms, but generally stick to RK1, because it's my home dimension where all of my non-GSP friends are. So, I think Ceryn's post rings true for certain DJs.

In the past, there have been people that have organised highly successful Rimor parties alongside GSP - if you really want to get GSP over to RK2 more often then try to get together a group of people that want to see them there AND will actually turn up to an event* and plan an event, and apply on here to have GSP DJ for it.
If you can help with finding and bringing together people on RK2 that WANT the DJs over there then that's a great help - GSP (and the dancers) try to get word out across all dimensions and to find people that would like to come and party with us - but if you can actually get a group of them together and ready to party then usually a DJ will be more than happy to come. And if it's a success, then word WILL spread that RK2 partied GREAT last week!
*This is the important bit. Cos if parties are just planned and announced and not actually backed up by bodies on the dancefloor then DJs can get a tad frustrated - and that's not a Rimor thing, it's all dimensions - but if you do want to try to plan an event to build the Rimor party crowd, then try to make sure there will be a reasonable number of RK2 people you can (hopefully) rely on to make an appearance during the show.

forget rimor has any DJ ever ventured into the vast unknown and gone to RK-3. I heard on RK-3 The Beast is a leet, and everyone walks around backwards.

I believe there have been DJ's on RK3, we have to keep those DJ's restrained at all times...
... not cause of going to RK3, just cause it makes us giggle

I'd be there, but I have no net at home and it's hard to install AO at work when we only get 5 megs for personal stuff.
Oh wait, I'm a RK1 person. Nevermind.

If you're asking about my show tonight, it'll be on the roof of Reet's Retreat in Stret West Bank.

(Just in case it's helpful to anyone!)
If you're ever unsure where a DJ is coming from*, check the stream title (the bit at the top of this page saying "Playing:", just under the Gridstream logo. They usually put their location up there when they are on live (if there's nobody live it will usually say that it's a playlist.) If you're in game you can also /tell gridbot say and ask nicely for a location.
*This will tell you where on Rubi-ka they are broadcasting from, at least. No known science can tell you where a GSP is coming from mentally... and it's probably safest not to know!

just an FYI to the peeps on rk2: GSP actually holds parties IN-GAME usually in the stret west bank/ borealis/ neuters area. Tune in, and listen for the location, if you miss it or just tune in on the late side of things... "/tell gridbot say where you at?"
I get the feeling you peeps on rk2 are used to listening to rk1 shows and when we come over your all out fighting as usual or whatever you do
