What exactly would people be donating towards?

I for one would love to see Nexeus at the Dragoncon event. This would be paying for his membership for the weekend event September 1st-4th. Cost is $85.

Up to $10 so far.

Ah I see. Well so long as Nexeus himself can actually approve this as honorable, I suppose it is certainly valid. No offense intended, of course, as it would be too easy to commit fraud using a technique like this. I should also note that since Dragon*Con is less than a month away, the odds of actually acquiring enough for even a single person to visit for a day are very slim, considering that one would have to pay much more than the cost of a ticket, since we're also talking plane ticket, room & meals. What will be done with the money collected if you do not make deadline?

The cost of the ticket is the only concern I am told. If the cost of the ticket isn't met through this then there is one more option to cover the rest. Either way expect Nexeus there.

o.O Okay, THIS, I did not expect at all!

Quick background to this, when Yunni told me that she was going to DragonCon, I stated that I more than likely won't be able to make it due to other obligations that have both left me in a very weird financial position... I also tied in my attending the DragonCon with being a part of GSP at the time, so I gave it the thought that I would not be attending this years DragonCon, which I was satisfied with. Yunni demanded that I go to DragconCon and offered to cover my cost of returning this year. After my attempts to refuse, she demanded (might I add with the word pet a few times inbetween!) that I attend - and said she is doing this for her wish to have me there - and basically said that my ass is going regardless of what I said.

This part I really did not expect. If I'm being asked if I approve, then I do approve - I've always believed that anyting that the listeners/fans would like to do in favor of GSP, should not go unrecognized. I have a few other ideas, and thoughts... that possibly goes outside of the scope of just this post.

So, I'm shocked, honored, and really speechless that even this idea was brought up, I really don't know what to say!

I will also be happy to contribute to the cause of bringing Nex to Dragoncon, but I would also like to know what happens if the money is not raised in time.

The cost of the ticket does seem like the smallest thing we can help with, though. Do we need to gather expenses for his plane ticket as well?

though i wont have the funds to pay for Nex, ill be on hand to save him from rabid skins that sometimes roam around down there

Whatever money is raised will be used in order to pay Nexeus's membership ticket. Nexeus has stated that he can cover the rest but only needs the $85 to cover. If not enough money is raised I have other means for making up the rest (though, really, any help that can be given is greatly appreciated and needed and will not go unnoticed)...

I will do my best to close this before it builds up too much money...if that's possible...any money going over what is needed will be returned.
