ok (I know I am probably gonna be flamed for my first wish but.... BLEH Id do it myself if I could just to see faces turn.)


would love to see a DJ do country/folk/bluegrass/classical (not sure if you guys at GSP would do it or already doing it with one other DJ.) that would be... FUNNY (needless to say I can imagine some people dying hehe)


my 2nd wish would be to see a resident "shock jock" (A DJ with a very dirty, twisted sick sense of humor, and all around bad mouther hehe somebody that makes everybody else cringe slightly) again not sure if its been done before or will ever be done but it would be nice as hell to see both ever happen oh well thats just thought my thoughts on these ideas.

btw if either of these are already happening with other DJs please just ignore this post or tell me the hard way. (kick me in the seat of the pants.) but so far every DJ I have listened to at least in my timezones when I get on I don't hear country/classical/bluegrass (maybe some folk here and there)

I think, as a first for me, would find myself willingly tuning out (barring going to bed, restarting, or playing a sound heavy game) of GSP were that to happen. And I just can't let that happen.

Country is most likely the least likely music you'd hear on GSP.
However as you mentioned later, there is some odd folk (and bluegrass as well) now and again.
Classical is not super rare either, but it's rare. And actually a genre I think would be cool if it appeared more often, there are some classical songs that are just amazing.

Seriously though, this is most likely not to happen!
GSP DJ's do look on themselfs as rebellious/anarchist (this is Anarchy Online after all)
and we are nowhere as uptight as commercial radio,
we still have some guidelines we stick by.

So there won't be as per your vision:
Dirty DJ's done dirt cheap! (catch the lyric reference)

You didn't mention your timezone or when you tune in though,
it is possible one of the existing dj's shows is "dirty" enough to amuse you allready!
(just taking a wild guess at your level of deviancy here, but if it's anywhere near mine on the other hand not even GSP has THAT dirty dj's. Or rather we do, but we self censor to a certain level)

heh, i was just thinking eariler of what people would do if someone started playing Beethoven in the middle of a show. The bluegrass has been played every so often, same with country. And yes....the world would end if Griddy got air time.

hahaha thats kind of the idea aint it (being sick twisted and evil thats something Id do just to piss off people that dont have a liking for such genre's but since I have not the time NOR the knowledge on how to do such things I wouldnt be able to torture the masses honestly though I wish there was somebody as devious and sick sense of humor that would rise up to the occasion.)

Seen your playlist on a few times, but I haven't gotten to hear you live on the air since... uhh... it was some big event... either the first GSP megabash or the 4 years of AO party, one or the other, we were on the roof of Reets with a bonfire...

See here's the thing...

We don't want people to tune out. We want people to tune in. So we tend to play the most common genres of music that most all people like. And thankfully, we happen to love them

So yes, tuning out is a bad thing. We don't want that.

I Seem to remember a certain DJ who hasnt apeared in some time..who used to play a wee bit of country music once in a while...

Wonder what her name was... *grins*
