A new low

Ya can't help but laugh but it was a horrible horrible thing to do. This guy dies in RL so his guild mates log onto his character so they can't hold a memorial service. Then the resident ass hole guild (trust me every server has one, on each side) comes along and kills the dead guys character as well as everyone there.

Sheesh. A prime example of why PvP is the most idiotic thing you can do in a MMORPG... that was just low.

Three things.

1. The offending guild should all be shot. And if I were ever talking with someone and found out he was a part of that, I would knock him on his ass and give him good reason to stay down.

2. The guild holding the funeral were idiots who were asking for it. I would almost go so far as to say the whole thing was staged, if it weren't for the fact that both guilds involved are proof that stupid people tend to cluster together. You do not hold an RL service on a PvP server and not expect to get attacked.

3. It wasn't funny from either perspective, in my opinion. It was so insanely boring to watch I had to shut it off before it even got to the action, and the concept behind it is nothing more than an anticlimactic tribute to uninteresting stupidity.

But then, to me, WoW is ultimately boring to watch (or play) by default. I'm surprised I made it as far as I did.

Plus you're used to dying on a regular basis, so the novelty is gone?

See.. another reason not to play WoW. Atleast in AO even if you were diffrent sides or w/e most the people have respect for eachother. When a popular clan leader passed away I dont remember one person ever being rude..

One of the benefits of AO having such a steep learning curve. My theory is that the -majority- of morons in the general gaming community try it and give up in frustration. Yay.

Yep yep and yep. And yes, one has to love that.

Exact and powerful point. Much love for the AO community always. We'll roleplay with the best of 'em, and we'll PvP with the best of 'em, but on the majority scale, we don't cross the line of disrespect.
