Hit F11 should save it somewhere in ya AO dir... at work atm or I'd be able to find out for ya

is the ao dir. in the root file, in my program files, or in the ao control panel within the game? thanks for the help, dont get busted by the higher-ups at work. this can totally wait

Yep, keep in mind that it saves them out as PNG files, which is not very well compressed. Most editors and viewers will let you open it up and save it back out as a JPG file, which has much better compression / smaller file size.

right on. i found the one i tried to do last week with my friend. im gonna have to start minimizing the chat, map and other crap to make the pics nicer to look at
