Thank you GSP!

I didn't get a chance to listen to the live smart bomb episode of LTK so I just got done listening to the high quality archive provided by danyoo (thanks btw). I was just agreeing whole heartily how this game is comunity driven and has such a social scene.

That got me thinking. What causes this game to have the social scene that it does. Its quite obvious it is because of GSP. I don't belive this game would be what it is without GSP. I just wanted to say thanks to all that you do. And if I had a better and bigger music collection and actual talent I would totally want to be a DJ and make this game what it is.

Just a big thanks to Tarryk for keeping this ship afloat and all the DJs.

You're welcome for the HQ download :) And yea, I wouldn't be playing AO right now if it weren't for GSP. :) They are the lifeblood of the game!

While I certainly appreciate the props for GSP, let's also remember that Funcom does a helluva lot better job than most companies at promoting a community in-game. ;) And...as has been said many times, GSP wouldn't be anything without the listeners that stick with us!
I may be retired, but I'm GridStream for life.

Funcom is great I agree but face it Veldron if GSP was filled with sucky DJs and bad music you would have no listeners so It is the professionalism and the personality of GSP that makes it great and keeps the social life interesting and complete...I live in AO because of GSP ...Keep it rocking

Since Funcom is so good..might we see DJ's rockin' it in their next MMO, Age of Conan? Gunna need lots of Doooooooooommage for that!

It says a lot that the temptation to come back for many (myself one of them) to anarchy online was not really the gameplay but rather GSP. They've done something monumental, with more standing power and substance than the fleeting pop culture of other MMOs. They became part of the world, and gave it a real touch that would be difficult or 'impossible' for any company to intentionally put in. ''

GSP is to Anarchy Online what MTV was to the generations of the 80s and early 90s..only, you know, not sucky. :P

I can say that GSP is very loyal to FunCom. But as far as going into other games? That is up to Tarryk, Veldron and the Board Members to decide ;).

Brudus and everyone else that have posted great praises in this thread, thank you very much. It makes me happy to know that I am apart of something so great!

Surely if there were to be Conan type stuff you'd need some battle metal. Something with which to cleave thine enemies in two with your mighty chopper (and/or) choppers for those who go 1he ;)

Age of Conan eh? You'd run into a serious technology snag. I mean sure - broadcasting music on the stream is easy on Rubi-Ka cause you've got the technology to support it. But in Hyboria you might need to make a big leap forward and use some kinds of small cylindrical pottery things with woven string running between one the DJ has and one for each listener.
