Mount and Blade - Nifty little independant game!

I shall not fear Tarryk killing me for posting a link that contains medieval scenarios with elves, for there are no elves.

It's got a free demo, and then its only 14 dollars. For being made by a couple and not some big company, it's got some great features in it, all the more heightened by the mods that let you play Lord of the Rings (No elves, just orcs and men), Roman legionaries, and expanded medieval scenarios. The original game itself is set in a Eastern European atmosphere, with arms and armor ranging from Steppe Hats to viking swords and Knightly plate.
Probably the highmark is that its an FPS. You dont count fully on rolls but instead have to actively dodge, block, parry and attack on your own, with RPG like stats deciding the damage and effectiveness. Its been really addictive, and if you've craved a game where you can kill and know you had the main hand in it (unlike, say, WOW), then you might like it.
