S.O.S. -- my company just told us all they're closing the doors for good effective immediately. I'm out of a job as of 30 minutes ago with no warning whatsoever.

Since finding work is all about networking... if you know anyone looking for a graphic designer / web developer, or know anyone at a company that does that sort of thing in either Chicago or Detroit, any references or contacts you can flip my way would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry to hear about the job loss man. That sucks. Wish I was in those areas, I'd keep an ear out for ya. I don't think you'd like northern Maine much. Might be too cold for Satan.

I grew up in northern Michigan and spent more time outside in the winter than I did in the summer. When I get to the point where I finally say "Hm, ya know, I feel a little cold", everyone else around me has already frozen to death. I actually like Maine quite a bit.
