'Nother Frank Miller Adapation for Film - 300

I couldn't recall if GSP was a big fan of Sin City or not, so I wasn't sure about posting it. It's an adaptation of another of Frank Miller's Graphic Novels, this time being about the 300 Spartans of Thermopoylae. Seems like a winning combo, lots of fighting, and a bunch of scary half naked muscular men for the ladies.

Do you think it'll be a success like Sin City? Does the setting or it being Frank Miller even interest ya? :D

Well that's kinda cool. I just hope there's a few less kicks to the groin in this one.

Artistically, I loved Sin City. The cinematography was excellent. The content? A little subpar. I love violence as much as the next, but I cant help but feel like they cut out a LOT. I never got my hands on the graphic novels, but watching the movie definitely made me want to read them, just so I could get the full picture. So, I guess I have mixed feelings about the Sin City movie.

But, this movie (300) is for another day and another dollar. I'll probably go see it. Gimme blood and gore over some lame chick flick any day! Thanks for the heads up!

300 was incredible. I read it years ago and loved it.
Granted, they could very easily fuck up the movie but I'll see it regardless. I saw Sin City and liked it a lot, and I'll absolutely go see V For Vendetta.

Sadly I'm not too optimistic about it. Frank Miller and movies haven't the best track record. Daredevil, Elektra, Robocop 2, Robocop 3

You're right, those were utter shit. They were also screwed up by bad screenwriters and idiot directors with little involvement by Frank himself. Sin City and Batman Begins were handled very differently and it shows in the final product.

If it matters, it's being directed by Zack Snyder, whose also doing a Rainbow Six film later, but first directed the film Dawn of the dead (2004).
