Here in DC a strait guy going on a "date" with another guy in any form would get some very odd looks and (depending on who his friends are) the beet down. haha Even us women can't get away with that without a few odd looks and sometimes a bit of drooling from the guys.

yes man-date (note Definition 2 is kinda bad) does exist it was in The Times (as in The New York Times).

yes New York City is a weird place, then again so am I. Cali is wierd too. This also happens in Miami, and a few other places. And damn I go on "man-dates" all of the time... serious, my and a few guys go out to brunch then see a kick ass movie then catch each othet later.

Man-dates are the softer, gentler version of "guys night out". No booze, sports just guys chillin'
