This search is teaching me one major thing: keep records of things no matter how insignificant or common they may be at the current day. 2 years ago this stuff was as easy to find as sand in the desert. in August 2000 the legal agreement was at the lucasarts site and I read it every day in nerd anticipation before I was even on the forums.

and now I am having heck trying to find it. lol. I'm going to post on the SWG forums and see if anyone kept a record of it on those forums of psychotic fanboyism.

edit: ooo, I haven't found it but I found this. right on comrade. http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/boar ... .id=182073

I'd smile, but I'm too lazy to make all those muscles in my face move. :P

It's not a BAD idea, that's for sure.
When AO first came out, I hear it had major issues for months after its realease. After those were hammered out, it was uber. :P Who knows; maybe in a few months SWG's will be uber.

I'll no doubt try it out again by December. Maybe tor 30 minutes or more. And if I'm still not impressed... *shrug* ^_^ No loss.

I just cannot figure out when it became acceptable to publish/sell games that are so bugged. The only single player game I have ever heard so many complaints about was Falcon 4.0, a jet simulator, that had about as many bugs as your average MMO. I realise that MMOs are probably far more complex in structure than most single player games, but is that an excuse? Would we accept an operating system that crashed every five minuttes? (No Windows jokes please  )

Maybe all the MMO creators should aim at something simpler and then expand, instead of going for everything and ending up with a royal mess on their hands. An alternative could be having a gamma test or period. By that I mean that the first months after release, which are, as we all know by now, usually filled with bugs, be 25% or 50% of the full price when the game is stable and largely bug free. Just an idea.
