In regards to Otori:
Hehe, easy mate, wasn't assuming you(you as in figuratively speaking, not you in person) didn't understand. There was no Brit vs. Yank in this at all. I simply learned the hard way that on the net, people do not tend to get sarcasm as well. Most do, yes, but all it takes is a single person who doesn't, or refueses to, to make things hostile. I added the /sarcasm off mostly to illustrate the joke, but also because things have gone out of hand earlier when someone thought I was serious or belitteling... (ok, so sarcasm is prolly a lil' belitteling, but it's no more serious than you choose to take it).
As far as the "old geezer" card goes. Yeah I hope so, the world would be a sad place if a 21-year-old semi nerdish forum dweller knew as much as all above him. But does it mean I should shut my trap till I turned 90? Where would that take me? Where would it leave any of us? There's always someone older, as shade is finding out.
And as to that, when oppinions are made out: Gah omg girly girly girly fag! I don't think we need education because this one guy didn't and besides punctuation is for sissies can I have my rifle back now please?
One should really not be surprised when people react to it. Nor when they poke at it. If I say som'n messed up, I'd find it rather dull if no one made fun of it. Why even bother writing anything at all if it wasn't to get a reaction? Can anyone here honestly say they'd bother writing if no one ever disagreed or gave them other oppinions? Why bother if the only options for reply are:
Yes, I agree.............[x] <--:
Pressing here will result in a reply

But in regards to Brit vs Yank angst and such. It can never die unless both sides are willing to let it. It's like the racism card, it will never dissapear before both sides are willing to forget and move on. I'm not saying it's easy, but every time I disagree with an American in a fashion that contains any kind of wake up call, I'm flagged as yank basher/hater. No one even mentioned that? It could have been a dane saying that stuff, hell, even my brother, and I'd still have givin them a whack over the head. So erh, who's the one with the angst here mate? (No, this was not an invitation to a mud fight, it'd be pointless and we'd only end up gettin really pissed at each other, which would serve no purpose.)
Just a thought tho'.

How does one have a british voice? I'm mancunien (Manchester) my accent is "working class" slang inspired. So is the entire area. What do you even know of british? Think we all walk about talking Oxford/Shakespreare english with our little fingers stickin out when we drink tea? If any fingers are stickin, it's two completely different ones mate. How is this any different from what I was just accused of doing? I mean appart from the fact that when a yank does it, it's called discussing oppinions, but when europeans do it, it's called yank bashing/griefing/hating...?
Arh bugger, this got out of hand again, it wasn't ment to go here... It was ment as a friendly joke, but a wake up call as well. It seems some things never change. Will we ever get past always suspecting the others are only here to offend us? Tho' I guess it goes for all of us. I did choose to take offense as well didn't I... *sigh*
