Starting up an Age of Conan Guild, anyone interested?

Has anyone been able to find a preorder for US that offers the rhino?

I decided to just call my local Best Buy, since their site gave no info but I'd heard that they should carry it. In case anyone else is looking for it, they do have preorder boxes for $10 for the rhino and the 3 day early play code (doesn't include the $5 download fee from Funcom O.o). The $10 comes off the price of the actual game when they get it in, of course. The site has a bit more info now, but still nothing on the preorder. I would like to assume that the site will be organized enough to get buyers the 3 day early code and their rhino, but that's a lot to assume.

Just FYI in case anyone else wanted a US version preorder rhino!

Ok joined the forums I plan to pre order . I am not sure if I will be any good at this game or not but I am certainly going to check it out, My plan is to play AoC during the hours that GSP is not live in AO but my heart and home will always be in AO, nothing can change that for me......I am sure my PC will handel this game now so, I have no fear of ordering it...I will prob just be a bar wench or slut tho, I won't need any training for that, grins

Economies are different throughout the world. People don't make the same amount of money for the same job in Oregon than they do in Wales. The economy is better over in the UK so they are charging more. It's always been that way .

True Meenie, but this is not oil or coffee or any other product that has world market prices to compensate. It's not even the actual game price but the monthly service fee. That kind of difference is ridiculous, especially since the game is going to be the same for everybody. It's not very likely that europeans are getting any added value to the game despite we pay more of it.

From todays currency rates 1 EUR is roughly 1,5 USD. (Getting closer to 1,6)
That 12,99 EUR is thus 19,50 USD. And that's without VAT.
If everybody were to pay the same value then the price in euros should be around 10 EUR if the price in USD is 14,99.

Here's hoping the FC fixes the price difference when they start offering 6 and 12 month billing systems.

If anything, Europeans make less for equivalent jobs, even once exchange rates are taken into account. They do usually get a lot more vacation time, but that doesn't help pay for a ridiculously high subscription fee. :p

Xtrophic and I will most likely be playing. We are waiting to see if we indeed have to get a US copy to play on US servers or if it can be fudged. I have seen no official posts talking about this so going to see what people are saying after release.

We'd rather play on the server that most of the people we know from AO are so that puts us waiting to find out for sure before we buy our copies.

Seriously displeased with their inability to inform the public about... well, anything. Just wasted a bunch of money and time in creating a subscription only to be allowed to watch the days count down on my first month, since early access is "sold out", yet all the site does is give me a vague error when I try (it took calling Kirasha to actually learn this, through what other source is unknown), yet ironically still allows me to pay for it. And thusly, it also doesn't allow me to download the game anywhere.

So I'll likely have to pay full price for a box now, and miss out on the free month because I've already subscribed with a paid account without actually getting the game itself attached to it.

Anyway, I'm Teekay on the Invictrum forum. But don't expect me around much. I'm going home to AO now.
