In a close to topic note: If you're really that scared, be sure its really what you want to do. Though it's not for me, I'm not saying this to speak out against tongue peircing. It's your right to do what you're comfortable with and want. I just want you to not just look into the reputation of the person/shop you go to, but also look at the proceedure itself. Make sure you understand the risks before you go. I say this not to be a mom or a downer. I say this because this extends beyond fashion statement or just looking really cool. Do your research. ...But if you still decide to have it done... MUST HAVE PICS!!

LOL Valli, my fear is due entirely to the fact that I'm a big pussy. That and my nose piercing hurting enough that I embarrassed myself by asking for a few secs so I didn't pass out before having the guy finish it. LOL! I'd gotten used to easy pierces like my labret and nipples that barely hurt at all.
I know I'm going to be talking like a total moron for a week and that liquid food will be my lot for about the same amount of time. The delay is mostly in that I'm trying to find a local place that does it that has a good solid reputation for their piercers, since this particular pierce is a "delicate" one, involving a large muscle, a very dirty body area and a huge number of nerves.
My preferred shop is only open Mon-Fri and even then only until 2 in the afternoon, which makes things irritating, since Cam would have to take a day off work to take me to have it done. The shop I know with the second best rep for piercing does not do tongue pierces, which irritates the hell out of me, since they have reasonable prices, excellent hours and a very nice facility.

YAy... I got a new monitor, same size as old one, but ALOT newer, so its alot clearer and is better overall
