I'm all for Bush bashing. ^_^ A singular person defines themselves to the public eye.
I was rather hoping to keep away from more of this;

Kewl! I said som'n gramatically correct... YAY!
Anyway, I guess you gotta live here to see it, the third biggest party in Denmark, is the party who's base principal is: Kick out the darkies...
That's pretty scary... it's all mainly taboo, so you won't hear it. But it's here... and it's strong, peeps won't admit it, but more than a lot of them think it...
It hurts to admit, but frienly as the danes are, they're VERY afraid of anything from the outside... all you gotta do, is scratch the surface...
Some might disagree, dunno if Colt or Muki see things differently, and I know I am very intolorant towards people who are racist, so that might be why I see things as being THAT bad... but bottom line is, the danes do NOT like strangers... at least the ones they can spot, if you just look like 'em, they won't notice...

Sheep... s'all they are, plain and simple  Tm

This is a rant. You have been warned :P
I must disagree with Oddysee on the Danish character.
Danes like every kind of people as long as they go home at the end of the day.

I do not consider myself a racist, as I do not believe that one race is inherently better than any other, nor do I consider one culture better than any other. I do, however, believe that when a person moves to another region or country, whether temporarily or permanently, they should adapt certain aspects of that country’s culture and accept that certain things are simply not done, or done differently, in their new country.

One obvious cultural aspect is language (my pet peeve). I find it completely unacceptable that people who have lived in any country for years have not acquired even a basic understanding of the language. I currently live in Houston, Texas, and find it totally incomprehensible that all government forms in Houston have to come in English, Spanish, and Vietnamese versions. While it is every person’s responsibility to learn the language of the land, it also requires governmental oversight. Putting 20 foreign kids in a class with 4 Danish kids and then expecting the foreign kids to learn Danish from their peers is obviously not going to happen, and I understand the same situation occurs here in Houston.

I must admit to being largely ignorant of the political situation in Denmark. However, I do believe that the current popularity of the “nationalist” party in Denmark is more a reaction to the "political correctness" of the traditional parties and not proof of rampant xenophobia in the Danish population. When all you hear about new-Danes (pc term for immigrants in Denmark) is negative; this group is cornering the market for hard drugs, that group practices forced circumcision of girls, another group exploits family reunification laws, ethnic gangs go on rampages, etc., and the traditional parties are not seen as doing anything to remedy the situation, people turn to anyone who say they have the answer, in this case: send them back to wherever they came from. Unfortunately most of these “trouble makers” do have darker complexions than the average Dane, and this has led to the “Kick out the darkies... “ attitude Oddysee described.

Unfortunately most politicians are reluctant to deal with issues dealing with any ethnic or racial group, as they may be perceived to be racist. The press is uniformly unable to help in this matter, as it is strictly “impartial” and just reports the facts. That it (the press) only chooses the negative facts seems to be ignored by all concerned.

I am hesitant to discuss my views as how to rectify the situation, as they are largely based on personal beliefs and assumptions. They do, however, not include mass deportations of foreigners from Denmark (or anywhere else), though voluntary resettlement of political refugees for instance is one option to be considered.

I dunno .. it just feels wrong to bash the President .. regardless of his idiocy or his bad decisions (and please remember, he doesn't make all the decisions, alot are made for him) .. but I still think that he's what we got and he's what we voted for and personally, it'd be alot better if we could try to support our country and the likes of the goverment, forceful smiles or not. Nothing good comes from insulting ones intelligence and now getting race issues involved.

But we do practice freedom of speech, so..

We are Americans. We are Free. And we could kick your ass.

Period. :P

While we've relied on others help at time...thats true.

Were lazy, ignorant, loud assholes...but we'll become a fierce cornered animal when we need to. :D

Thats what the country was established on, after all. Freedom to live our lives the way we wanted to, and kick your ass when we need to.

We've saved the world, yes, we saved the world in WWII (The Brits helded out, but a war of defence can never win, and I laugh at bullshit that "We beat them, you just came in at the right time".), and we saved the world on a minor scale in WWI.

EDIT:

Well, in actuality, Russia saved the world in WWII. They marched into Berlin, and widstood the German Onslaught...but if we didn't hit Normandy with the force of America (Canadia and Britain could not have handled it), neither would have won.

We stood out against the USSR (Of course communism is a laughable goverment), which by accident in doing so created the Islamic trouble....ow.

People just think that if anything is wrong, its automatically bush's fault.

True, I hate him for his choice on Stem cell Research (My dad suffers from Parkinsons) and I dont agree with going into Liberia (Why save the peace if there is no peace to save?), and I pretty much disagree with Bush...

But besides McCain, I couldn't have seen any good choice for 2002 (And McCain fell out).

Bush is, in all honesty a intelligent-lacking college guy who's throughoughly puritan (Basically stating same sex marriages is not a marriage, as well as his choice on stem cells, shows he is a true "fundementalist" chirstian).

Tristalyn, I hope you mean Bashing, and not criticising...because if you can't criticize the president, its basically a dictatorship.

If Bush was truly bad, you'd be killed for insulting him. Granted, members of holywood and music bad mouth him and are hated...

But who gives a fuck what those fools that think because they are popular, they know about the world, think?

Don't worry, soon the Washington D.C. Zoo will notice one of their monkies dissapeared, and bring Bush back to his place. :D

Theres a difference between Bashing and Criticism, and bashing because you think he's the only person making decisions.

That was after I quoted, lovely. :p

I envy the brits, with the guy whos name I'm at a loss for right now (lol). He's charismatic, the sort of english leader who'd you would expect for the side of "Good" so to speak...

And he uses big words, and doesn't mispronounce em!

Oh and Brits rawk. :)

Colin Powel would do good as well, if he had run I'd have hoped for his success against Bush...but I doubt he will run. :(
