Interesting thing was SWG wasn't SWG at start. THe devs had allready started work, way before the whole Star Wars thing got flung into it...

Her name was Leia, she was a princess,
with a danish on each ear, and Darth Vader drawing near
so R2-D2 found Ben Kenobi, (Obi-Wan)
He'd have to put the Death Star plans into the Rebellions hands,
So Luke and Obi-Wan had to get to Alderaan
So they stopped into Mos Eisly to have a drink with Han

At the Star Wars, Star Wars cantina
The weirdest creatures you've ever seena
Here at the Star Wars, Star Wars cantina,
music and blasters and old Jedi masters
at the Star Wars.

Oona Koota Solo?
His name was Solo (Han solo), he was a pilot
with a blaster at his side and a smile twelve parsecs wide,
there with Chewbacca, he was a Wookie,
They met with Luke and Obi-Wan about the Millennium Falcon,
docking bay ninety four(ninety four), stormtroopers at the door
With a flash of Bens lightsaber, now there's an arm on the floor

At the Star Wars, Star Wars cantina
The weirdest creatures you've ever seena
Here at the Star Wars, Star Wars cantina,
music and blasters and old Jedi masters
at the Star Wars. (Mos Eisly Spaceport, you will never
find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy,
we must be cautious)

His name was Yoda, he was a muppet.
Darth Vader was so bad and by the way he's Luke's dad,
Luke kissed his sister, his hand got cut off
In that galaxy far far away, Luke has had a lousy day,
Boba Fett was so mean, Jabba had bad hygiene,
Why didn't they all just relax, back on Tatooine

At the Star Wars, Star Wars cantina
The weirdest creatures you've ever seena
Here at the Star Wars, Star Wars cantina,
music and blasters and old Jedi masters
at the Star Wars. (The Force will be with you…always)

It's a Wierd All song... not his best tho...

The Yoda song is much better.

Little fact, did you know Wierd All is the ONLY person in the world who has George Lucas's permission to use any starwars material he finds, for his parody's?... George even offered to lend him his webpage team so he could better make use of the starwars page...
Well... now you know that too!

And for that, I have to give Lucas a standing ovation. At least the man can laugh at his own work. :)

Ok, this would be easier with the quote command, but call me cursed (or lame, your choice) that thing just always fucks up for me... Anyway, it just came to my attention that Tristalyn has NEVER seen the original StarWars movies... you know... the ones that are actually good...
Please Trsit, say it aint so...

I know I used you for cover when Tacz was shooting at me...

*/me looks nervously about, cause Tacz still is*

And I appreciate the fact that even though he shot at me, you took the full spray of bullets (maybe not intentionally, but still) but... how can you NOT have seen them, and then be any kind of nerd?... :? :?: :!: :?:
That's like... people who play D&D but have never read Lord of the rings...
Or even WORSE, those sad, SAD people, who only ever heard of the book when the film came out (word to the wise, if any of you are amongst those heathens...DONT tell me)

Trsit... watch them... lest thy be condemed to "Lesser form of organic substance with no real value or purpose... well, ok, kick ass DJ... but appart from that..." Tm

I never watched the original Star Wars movie(s) .. started too once, by force, but got away.

I've played D&D ONE time (and this was just a few years back) .. I spent the entire night trying to commit suicide . "There is a big Kobolt around the corner.. what do you want to do?" Player 1: "I run!" Player 2: "I run!" Me: "I run around the corner towards it!"... (Why didn't I die!?)

I also have never read the LOTR books nor did I know one existed until long after the movies came out. (and it took me a year of having the first on DVD before I ever sat down to watch it, again by force....but actually watched it once I saw Orlando Bloom *drools*).. but I practically ran to see the second in theatres (Orlando Bloom is hawt! mreow) :)

and um.. *shrugs*

Maybe I'm just not cut out for this nerd stuff... *hands Oddysee her taped up glasses and her pocket protector as tears begin to form in her eyes*

Okies.. I'm over it :)

So what next? :P

Playing AO isn't a nerd quality?

possible Virtuez. Though to me it is a "I have some inner nerd in me, but not nearly as much as those geeks over in the SW or ST communities so here I am. I got tired of argueing with those losers about how the death star really worked. it is a movie you MORONS!!!" quality. :P
"Is that moon supposed to be colliding with this planet?"
I'd smile, but I'm too lazy to make all those muscles in my face move. :P

I don't know... perhaps I'm a bit biased.. But I can't get over the whole nerds movie I posted above..

If someone showed me a movie like that where players of AO dressed up in weird armor and things I might think twice about who I'm socializing with .. but those guys .. Oh my good lord.. I mean... do you wanna dance w/ the Colonel Sanders guy in the local Cantina? Ugh!

Sorry but um, no thanks

I think everyone in AO simply rawks.. I think SWG is for the short bus kids. (please take no offense if you like SWG.. I think you're all very 'special') :)

Just my 2 credits. I don't mean to offend... just being sarcastic and silly :)

I assume you have seen Pirates of the Caribbean since you are enamored with Orlando Bloom (you get Johnny Depp as a bonus :D ), if not you are missing out!

It has every thing a girl could want. Not one, but two handsome leading men, and lots of men in uniform. More jewelry than she could wear in a lifetime, and plenty of high fashion. What's not to love!!!
Oh, and romance of course. And a love triangle or square...

You have proof of this?

And Trist: I would like AO alot more if I liked the actual gameplay behind it, but thats just me. I dont enjoy teh game itself that much -- the only thing that ever kept me goin was GSP :) (And its the only reason I come back to the game when I do.) And you are gonna have morons in every game *grin*

Though, I feel, to properly judge a game, someone needs to actually play it :) Sure, you can have opinions based on pictures, videos or a beta test, but till ya have actually played it, and I'm not tyring to sound rude, but the opinion doesnt matter as much -- I betaed it. I didnt like it in beta.

Gave it a chance on release anyway? I'm enjoying it.

I feel the same way about many things. ^_^
You can't knock it until you try it.
I tried it,
I'll knock it now.

But I will admit, one of my biggest loves about AO is the Treatment kits and Nano kits. Sit down for a second, heal, stand back up. Move it out! ^_^ No sitting for any longer than a minute.
