That stars use their influence and money to get out of trouble is nothing new. Most caught in a simular situation pay a fine go check into Betty Ford then go on a speaking tour talking about how drugs and alcohol are bad.

Theres definately a double standard when it comes to the Justice system. It's been evident for years and since the politicians are part of the protected minority they have no reason to want to change the system.

The only way to get this status quo changed is to make a vocal protest to your congressmen and Senator. Then keep mailing him that letter until things change. Get people you know in on it and make it a movement.

The law should be for the people.

Apparently she was sick and sherrifs department let her out....cause no one gets sick in prison. Hell I'm gonna commit a crime...be put in jail, then say I'm sick and they will let me go on house arrest cause prisons don't have the cappability to help sick people......I mean shit...why didn't anyone think of that before?? The fact is that Paris may actually end up doing the full 45 days simply because of the media uproar she's trying to manipulate to get out of it is forcing the system to make the effort to look like it's being non-partizan for a change. I of course am not convinced by her wink, wink, nod, nod, flash a smile and cough routine. I'm not impressed with her "I've been acting stupid for the publicity", excuse either.

In fact this just proves that it was a case of manipulating the media which of course was eager to get any fodder for the tabloid grist mills. But then I don't like tabloid and gossip style media coverage and would be only to happy to see a bus load of Tabloid journalists drive off a cliff while chassing some star.

We'd have alot less of this BS if the media didn't make it a viable route to reanimating a flagging carreer. The Bad boy/girl image sells. So I'm guessing we are stuck with it.
