Not to sound like the AO forums, but.....

Postby Otori » Sun Oct 10, 2004 3:48 pm

It's been a nice run....3 years in AO and 2 years in GSP, but we live in a finite society and my finiteness (is that a word?) just reared itself. I just got to say that the community of Anarchy Online is by FAR the most tight knit, friendly, and helpful group of cats around.....due in large to Gridstream Produtions, which has been my second family for the last 2 years and I will miss them all dearly. I'll have to admit that the gaming side of AO has taken a turn for the worse, but just for me personally. I still think its the the most diverse, widest scoping MMORPG out there.

Thanks to everybody who supported The Abyss and NRG. I will treasure the time spent in game and the peeps I've had the pleasure to meet and talk to out-of-game. Tarryk, Xtrophic, Gridfan, Veldron, Nexeus, Decavolt, Tristalyn, Lauri, Wulfven (not Timberwulf hehe, j/k), Switchfront, Jairyn, Gnarf....I bid ye farewell, and thank you all for giving me the oppurtunity to work for the greatest radio station in the world. Keep up the great work, keep your feet on the ground and your eyes to the stars.

You're going to be severely missed by all of us, Otori. It was a great run, and you'll certainly never be forgotten.

As Tarryk said.. severely missed is the best possible way to describe it.

You've been with GSP a really long time and have such a great list of music and are full of energy (no pun intended).

Will miss your shows, and hope you keep in touch with us and let us know how things are going!!

You will indeed be missed, O-man. It was scary how much of your music I ended up stealing away to surprise people with on my shows. ;) Thanks for the great times hanging out at your parties before I even joined GSP, and all the good times since.

:(

The mustache man is leaving, and I am sad. I can still remember the first time I met you, oT, at your first GSP show ever. I'll never forget that, and all the great entertainment you brought us. You made me come to love techno, and for that I thank you.

We'll miss you lots.

*cries*

That's not just an emote. Not that I'm sitting here bawling or anything, but I have to admit to being teary-eyed. I'm very sorry to hear this. But I wish you all the best and I hope that you find happiness. I'm sure you would not have made this decision easily or lightly. I hope you'll still troll these forums and enter into discussions with Tarryk, et al of the type that make my brain hurt. I love those challenges and I might miss those things about you more than I miss your shows. .... actually.... I'll miss your shows more. :) ...but... just a final thought on that, I don't always like everything you play, its you, personally, your style and wit, that keeps me coming and dancing my ass off at your shows. Love you always Otori.

I've listened to Trance music for the past several years now. It began as something to move my head as I was doing my programming work, but it evolved into the primary form of my musical entertainment.

Otori, the first show for myself, and I'm sure for many, many fans of GSP, was yours. NRG was the simplest and easiest way to describe it, as that's what you brought forth and brought out of everyone. It's been great times, and I've enjoyed the hell out of trying to get you to mess up and laugh on the air.

I wish you good luck O-mang. I hope the music keeps blasting off your speakers and you continue making ear drums bleed no matter where you go.

I'll miss you Otori. I hope the coming journey, wherever it's to and whatever form it takes, goes well.

Dude, all I have to say is that you're still my bro - always a family member at heart. Man you are going to be unbelieveable missed - but we all have to do what we have to do man. There's going to be no way that you can be replaced.

You will be missed sorely Otori & for so many more reasons to me than being a DJ. Honestly most GSP DJs don't really play music I'd find myself listening to given the choice, but that's not my main reason for listening. Personally you were always one of my favorites. Where else could I occasionally get into discussions about Comic Books, Astrology (heh j/k Astronomy man) & Quantum Physics? Who else had a stand in for trips to the bathroom who'd sometimes break out into her own Bootie Bash?

Farewell & good luck to thee! :D
