but that puppy is sooooo cute but i dont want one cus it will get big and eat someone or something you can see it in its eye that little twinkle in the bottom of his eye is pure evil you know the one that you sometimes see in decavolts and veldrons eyes

This reply actually doesn't look like you're kidding, though instinct says you should be, so...

Yes. AO is free to play now (without expansions), therefore it's paid through in-game RL advertising. Billboards throughout RK have both still-frame & movie-file advertising on them, and the fanta ads are pretty heavy in the still-frame rotators. And those women are gross LOL.

(and yes, paid accounts with expansions have the option to turn the IRL ads off, tho I never do because they're better than the 3 default ads and the movie files are pretty cool and sometimes hilarious)

Still, movie file? Doesn't that drain a lot? I'd imagine it would, streaming movies always does, or have they sorted that out?...

All in all it's a pretty good idea I guess... It is rather Cyper Punk'ish, so it's all down with the genre and such... In character so to speak ^^

And personally Oddy I've never noticed any kind of lag coming about from the movie trailer type ads ingame(I pay for AO on my main account of course but turned on those ads as I'm just curious and rarely on my fr00b account)
